Catori No-Name
Born in the Arkenos Islands, Catori's spiritual affiliation was noticed when ey was only five years old. Posessing the spirits of both a man and woman as well as the genetic ability to work with the dead, Catori was taken under the wings of the Order of Bani. Catori's last name was abolished when ey entered the Order, and ey learned to control eir latent deathworking abilities. Catori is naive and something of a clutz, having never left the Islands before -- ey also isn't entirely proficient at water magic, despite being a water dragon.
Currently, ey is searching the Territories for another set of human remains with their souls and genes tampered with. It's hard going, however, when only deathworkers can hear their cries, and humans are supposed to be extinct.
Ezhno Dumas
Raised in the To-Mai mountain regions, and was raised to respect religious officials, since his mother was a deathworker when he was young. A strong earth dragon in his own right, Ezhno wanders the Territories looking for the clues to his brother's death, and picking up jobs wherever he can find them.
He stumbles upon Catori when his travelling group decides to mug eir, and decides to stalk the Two-Spirit -- if only to apologize for beating the shit out of eir. He's subsequently hired as Catori's guide through the Mountains, but it doesn't really stop him from treating Catori like a five year old.
